Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Location. If you allow it, your device location is used to find places near you. You can instead pick an area manually. We also use your approximate region derived from your IP address to pick a sensible default country.
• Account details. If you sign in, we store your email and basic profile information.
• Preferences and activity. Budget, dietary and place-type preferences, saved picks, recommendation history, group rooms you create or join, and votes you cast.
• Submissions. Places and photos you suggest.

How we use it

To produce recommendations, keep your preferences consistent across devices, run group voting rooms, show your history and saved places, and measure how often sponsored listings are shown or tapped.

Third parties

Venue data, photos and reviews come from Google Places, so search terms and coordinates you use are sent to Google to fetch results. Accounts, preferences, group rooms and uploads are stored with our hosting and database provider. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that authentication. We do not sell your personal information.

On-device storage

Some information — such as your recent rooms, recently seen recommendations and your selected area — is kept in your browser's local storage so the app works smoothly. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your browser settings and choose an area manually. You can update your preferences in your profile, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data.
